11/15/12 Zentis Food Solutions North America LLC is pleased to be the recipient of two Stevie® Awards in the 9th Annual International Business Awards competition.
Award ceremonies were held on October 15 at the Ritz Carlton in Seoul, Korea. Zentis was honored with a Gold award for Executive of the Year in the Food & Beverage industry and a Silver award for Company of the Year in the same category.
The Stevie® International Business Awards (IBA), nicknamed “Stevies,” which is derived from the Greek word for “crowned,” are the world’s premier business awards, designed to recognize achievements and contributions of exemplary organizations around the world.
The 2012 Stevie® IBA received 3200 entries from more than 50 nations and territories around the globe. Entries were judged by a team of 300 executives, who selected winners for the top three awards in each of 39 categories. Notable winners along with Zentis Food Solutions included Delta Airlines, LifeLock, Samsung, BMW, Mitsubishi, AT&T, and many others.
Zentis was honored for the skilled leadership of Norbert Weichele, CEO, who led the company to remarkable growth in the midst of a difficult economic environment. Zentis Food Solutions exceeded planned projections by reaching a staffing level of 260 employees and six production lines functioning on a 24/7 schedule during 2012, the company’s fifth year of operations is the U.S. According to Weichele, “It is a great accomplishment for the whole Zentis team to be acknowledged by the Stevie Awards judges with these prestigious honors.”
