11/07/12  On Sunday, November 4th at 12:23 AM Patrolman Nicholas Laffoon with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was west bound on UE 30, east of West County Line Road.  The traffic stop was for an equipment violation. During the traffic stop County K-9 Officer Brandon Cooper was called to assist at the scene. Upon arrival the County’s K-9, Arras conducted a search on the suspected vehicle where a positive indication was detected for narcotics. A search of the vehicle produced a small amount of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

A search of 41 year old Jason R. Baker of Plymouth, who was a passenger in the vehicle revealed a small container with several different types of prescription pills in it. Mr. Baker was taken into custody for possession of marijuana under 30 grams and possession of a controlled substance.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $3,005 bond.   He was released Sunday at 4:10 PM after posting his bond.
