11/01/12 Fourth graders at Triton Elementary School had a web-conference with Taylor Swift thanks to fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Reese. All fourth graders heard Taylor Swift talk about why she loves reading so much and how it led to her wanting to write songs. Three fourth graders were chosen to share their thoughts about the talk with Taylor. They were (l to r) Dylanie Miller, Emma Hepler and Casey Kemp. Dylanie said she and her sister are fans of Taylor Swift and her sister has been inspired to write music because of Taylor. Casey said that hearing Taylor has made him want to read more books. Emma said that she loves Taylor’s music and she wants to read the books Taylor mentioned in her talk. The students were encouraged to spend more time reading over the long Fall Break weekend.
