10/26/12  One person was air-lifted to the hospital and another taken by ambulance after a crash at Pioneer Road and US 30 Thursday morning.

Plymouth Police Officer Ray West investigated a three vehicle crash at US 30 and Pioneer Drive about 7:45 Thursday morning.

His report states that a  pick-up truck driven by 22 year old Ethan Barlass of Janesville, WI was carrying a large  semi-engine in it’s  truck bed.  He  rear-ended a box truck driven by 42 year old Thomas Curtis of Union Mills that was just pulling away from the intersection of U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive.  The severs impact caused the box truck to hit the rear of a semi trailer driven by 57 year old Thomas Donnelly of Portage that was also east bound on US 30.    The force of the crash caused the box truck to roll onto it’s side.

The crash caused large engine in the bed of the pick up truck to shift forward and slam into the truck’s cab.

The pick-up truck driver was airlifted from the scene by Med Flight.  Officers on the scene stated their injuries didn’t appear to be life threatening.
