10/16/12 On Thursday, October 11th at 8:08 PM Patrolman Matt Brown with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to East Shore Drive at Lake of the Woods and 4th Road for a moped accident
Arriving at the scene, the driver of the 2010 Keeway Hurricane moped, 43 year old Brian Pittman of Bremen said he was traveling north on East Shore Drive at 4th Road when his moped traveled off the east side of the roadway and crashed into a ditch. Mr. Pittman had been thrown from the moped and came to rest on his legs.
The caller who reported the accident had found Pittman unconscious he later came-to and started walking around.
During the investigation of the accident it was revealed that Brian Pittman was intoxicated and a Portable Breathing Test indicated an intox level of .22%.
Pittman was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated with a prior a Class D Felony. His bond was set at $1,505 cash.
