10/03/12 The Plymouth High School Band Department will be hosting their 14th annual Harvest Festival of Bands on Saturday, October 6th.

Band Director, Bryan Ames said, “This event is going to be really nice.   We have 11 bands performing and we are starting earlier so we will finish earlier. This is a really big fundraising event for the band program and we will have many schools coming on to our campus.”

The Harvest Festival of Band will host the following high school bands…, Triton, Bremen, Taylor, and Pioneer in class D; John Glenn, Knox, Northwood, Western, and Calumet in class C and LaPorte and Huntington North in class A.  The Pride of Plymouth marching band will perform at 6:53 as an exhibition.

The first band performance will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, October 6th at the Rockpile and ends with an award ceremony at 7:10 p.m.

This is a fundraising event and citizens are urged to come out and watch and listen to these high school students who devote so much of their time to the band programs. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students and seniors. The concession stand will also be open providing munchies and food for the evening event.
