09/07/12  The Marshall County Church Orchestra will perform its final “Concert in the Park” series to coincide with National Assisted Living Week.  The orchestra under the direction of Don Harness will appear at Miller’s Senior Living Community on September 9, at6:00 p.m.  The concert will take place rain or shine.

The orchestra will present a variety of music including hymns, classical and pop.  Their special guest soloist will be WTCA’s own Tony Ross.  He will join the orchestra on the meaningful hymn “It Is Well With My Soul”.  During rehearsal Thursday evening Ross stated he has always wanted to sing with a live orchestra and he “feels honored” to be doing so on September 9th.

Local entertainer and orchestra member Quentin Flagg will also perform during the orchestra’s break.  He will bring his high energy singing and dancing to popular hits of the 40’s through the 90’s.  He will also provide the vocals as the orchestra plays “God Bless America”.

The Marshall County Church Orchestra and their musical guests  provide enough variety that the entire family will be satisfied.   The outdoor concert is free and open to the public.   You are invited to bring your lawn chairs and a picnic supper and enjoy the evening.  Miller’s is located at625   Oakhill Ave.  For further information call 574-936-9801 and ask for Anna Corbett or Cindy Flagg.
