07/20/12 The Marshall County Board of Commissioners have determined that with the recent rainfall we have received the last two days, conditions have improved enough to lift the Disaster Declaration that has been in place.  The Disaster Declaration prohibiting open burning will no longer be in effect beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday.

However, the Commissioners will be monitoring weather and drought conditions and if it becomes apparent that the dry conditions are increasing the risk of fire danger, the Disaster Declaration will be reinstated.

The Commissioners would like to remind everyone to follow good safety practices when using fire and combustible materials.
