07/12/12 Barb Kobe will be coming to MoonTree Studios with a gallery show of her newest doll creations. The dolls she creates are to inspire playful self expression, personal healing, and self awareness. The Exhibit “ART OF THE DOLL: Connection to Earth, Connection to Spirit”, will open Saturday July 14, 2012 with an artist reception from 1:00-3:00pm EDT. Gallery hours for this exhibit are Monday to Friday from 9:00am- 11:30am and 12:30pm-4:00pm, weekends by appointment. The exhibit is open through August 26, 2012.
During this exhibit, MoonTree will be offering the opportunity for the public to experience Mixed Media Nature Dolls with Barb Kobe herself. On Saturday July 21, from 9:00am to 5:00pm EDT, Barb will immerse a small group of participants in the art of dollmaking. They will learn about clays, fabrics, embellishments, face molds and more. This experience will give participants the skills needed to continue with dollmaking on their own. Cost is just $65.00 and includes materials.
