07/09/12 The Marshall County Council and Plymouth City Council will meet Monday.

At 9 a.m. the County Council will meet in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.  Their agenda includes an update on the activities and progress of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation by Jenifer Laurent, Executive Director.

Council members will consider several additional appropriation requests: Probation $120,000, Sheriff $1,500, and $250,000 for the Highway Department. They will also consider an appropriation reduction in Superior Court II for the amount of $162.03.

Other County Council agenda items include a resolution to transfer appropriations to the Statewide 911 Fund, an amendment to the personnel policy for emergency protection measures.

The Plymouth Common Council will conduct an executive session prior to the regular city meetings Monday evening.  They will be discussing a pending litigation that has been threatened in writing.

Regular meetings begin at 6 p.m. with the Board of Public Works and Safety.  The board will open bids on the Headworks Influent Control Project, hear reports from the various department heads and consider the requests of the Solomon Group to release a financial guarantee and accept a sidewalk easement.

The Plymouth Common Council will conduct a joint session with the Plymouth Park Department pertaining to the expansion of park services to Center and West Townships.  This goes along with the second and third readings of an ordinance to the Council will consider to move the question on to the November ballot for city and township residents to consider.

Other agenda items for the City Council include reports by council members and the mayor along with the clerk treasurer.  Sharon Black Anderson from Arbor Metrics Solutions is scheduled to again discuss the offer of NIPSCO to help the city become a Tree City US.

Dave Lattimer, director of the Plymouth Airport will present council members with a copy of the new Airport 5 year plan.
