04/20/12 On Wednesday, April 18th at 12:40pm Officer Shanna Gilmer of the Plymouth Police Department responded to Martins Supermarket on East Jefferson Street when she received a call about a female shoplifter.  Upon arrival Gilmer took Sandy Salazar 52, of Plymouth into custody and transported her to the Marshall County Jail where she was book in for theft, a Class D felony and was given a $1500.00 cash bond.  Salazar is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #1 on May 15th at 8:30am.

Later in the evening on Wednesday, April 18th around 10:57pm, K-9 Officer John Weir of the Plymouth Police Department was patrolling the area near the Wal-Mart parking lot when he noticed a loss prevention officer with a subject in the parking lot.  Weir was able to detain the subject later identified as John R. Kowatch 56, of Plymouth.  Kowatch was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for theft a Class D felony and was also given a $1500.00 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #1 on May 15th at 8:30am.

On Thursday, April 19th at approximately 12:29am Sergeant Joe Deisch conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Adams Street and Center Street when it was found that Brandon M. Carpenter 19, of Plymouth was consuming alcohol under age.  Carpenter was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for public intoxication and illegal consumption of alcohol and was given a $1000.00 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on May 29th at 8:30am.

Then within a few minutes later on Thursday April 19th at 12:36am, Officer Paul Stamper of the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and South Michigan Street.  Candace K. Ernsperger 29, of Plymouth was taken into custody after she was found to be in possession of methamphetamines.  Ernsperger was transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was given a $3000.00 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court #2 on May 15th at 8:30am.
