04/02/12 The Marshall County Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) will meet for a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 3 at 10 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.

Agenda items include the renewal permits of the fraternal club permit for the LaPaz American Legion, the restaurant permits for the Tri-Way Golf Course and Beef O’Brady’s both of Plymouth and the restaurant permit of the Edgewater Grille in Culver who had an issue last month.

On March 4, Indiana State Excise Police visited the Edgewater after receiving a complaint.

According to Tim Cleveland, Excise Police officer, Edgewater Grill was cited for an expired liquor permit, no employee liquor permits, and no employee permit records. Cleveland said records indicate that the liquor permit expired on January 22, 2012.

According to Cleveland, the prosecutor of the Indiana State Alcohol and Tobacco Commission will review the citations. He said the findings could lead to some type of settlement or fines.

Dan Bickle, Edgewater owner, said they are open and continue to serve food until the permit can be reinstated. He indicated that the failure to renew the permit was an oversight and they voluntarily released their permit.

The local board will meet Tuesday and review the reinstatement application and forwards their recommendation to the state for final action.

The Marshall County Alcoholic Beverage Commission meeting is open to the public.
