02/29/12 On Monday, February 27 about 10:50 a.m. an off duty Bremen Police Officer observed 54 year old Keith Peto of Woodies Lane operating a motor vehicle near the intersection of West Plymouth Street and Hope Boulevard in Bremen. The officer knew Mr. Peto had been convicted of being a habitual traffic violator from a previous arrest. The off-duty officer reported the sighting to an on duty Bremen Police Officer who located and stopped Mr. Peto in the 1200 block of West Plymouth. While conducting the habitual traffic violation investigation the officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on Mr. Peto’s breath.
Upon completion of both investigations Mr. Peto was arrested for being a Habitual Traffic Violator and Operating While Intoxicated. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for the two charges. His bond was set at $2,000 cash. Peto is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court II on March 6th at 8:30 a.m.
