02/22/12 Daniel B. Olson, M.A. Blind Rehabilitation Specialist spoke at Miller’s Senior Living Community in Plymouth. He is affiliated with Northern Indiana Independent Living Services (NIILS) which provides training for visually impaired seniors to live more independently in their homes.
Olson spoke about and demonstrated many different adaptive devices that persons with impaired vision would find useful in their everyday life. These services and devices are free to seniors and the program is funded by Indiana Family and Social Services Administration.
