02/15/12 The Marshall County Church Orchestra Ensemble performed at Walkerton Miller’s Merry Manor on Saturday afternoon February 11th. There were seven members of the thirty member orchestra who gave of their time to bring a concert of sacred and popular music to the residents. The group is under the direction of Don Harness of Plymouth. They played a number of traditional hymns, movie and Broadway favorites and ended their program with several patriotic tunes. Throughout the concert Harness told the residents the history of the orchestra and the songs they were playing.
