Outgoing board president, Jack Davis gave a brief update of PIDCO’s recent activities and plans. As a board during 2011 they devoted much of their time and efforts in three areas:
- Completing much needed repairs and improvements to the Flora Street warehouse partially occupied by Whitley Products
- Seeking ways to support the community and the City of Plymouth in the goal of revitalizing down Plymouth
- Implementing a plan to better serve stockholder and community interests through the reorganization of the duties and responsibilities of the PIDCO Board of Directors.
Through the reorganization they developed action plans that will: reinvigorate their efforts to market the land they own and warehouse space; created a financial plan the will allow them to invest in the areas that are both needed and desired to continue PIDCO’s history of promoting economic development; created better communication with stockholders through their website, and focus on developing potential projects through public/private efforts for downtown revitalization.
In official business Gordan Taiclet and Jim Vinall were thanked for their contributions and expertise serving on the Board of Directors. Greg Compton and Ren Van Gilder each agreed to seek a second term on the Board while the nominating committee found two excellent nominees filling to remaining open seats. Mark Neidig II-purchasing manager for ITAMCO, former City Councilman, member of the City Plan Commission, and member of the University of Notre Dame Chapter of ASM International and Dave Ferguson-Consultant to Fortune 500 Companies assisting in company turnarounds, and President, CEO and Co-founder of Stone Creek Homes – “Building Communities Changing Lives.”
