01/31/12 Teachers Credit Union (TCU) presented a $4,714 check to the United Way of Marshall County this past week fulfilling their pledge for the 2011 campaign.  Each year TCU contributes a set amount to United Way of Marshall County for each TCU member in their Marshall County branches.  The donation from TCU will help United Way volunteers in continuing efforts to reach a goal of $475,000 to support United Way agencies and their programs and services in 2012.

TCU has two service centers in Plymouth and 48 locations throughout the state.  While TCU originally served educators and school employees only, Indiana’s largest credit union is now open to anyone who lives or works in Marshall and surrounding counties.  TCU is committed to improving and serving the communities in which they are located, and has been supporting Marshall County for over thirty years.

The United Way of Marshall County is creating lasting changes by advancing the common good.  The community organization invests in the building blocks for a good life: Education, Income and Health.  In 2010 United Way agencies served over twenty thousand individuals in Marshall County!  United Way’s mission is to inspire the community to invest its time, talents and treasures to help Marshall County neighbors meet the most basic needs of education, health, & income by igniting the caring power of the human spirit.

We invite you to be part of the change.  Together, united, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow,” said Linda Yoder, Executive Director for United Way of Marshall County.
