SJRMC’s Plymouth Family & Internal Medicine Expanding to Downtown Location

12/01/11 Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center’s Plymouth Family & Internal Medicine (PFIM) will be expanding to a second site in downtown Plymouth. The site is scheduled to open during the first quarter of calendar year 2012. PFIM is part of theSaint JosephPhysician Network (SJPN) which consists of nearly 50 doctors, including specialists, primary care physicians, and pediatricians, at 20 locations throughoutMarshallandSt. JosephCounties.

“This exciting development reinforces Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center’s mission to provide improved access to quality care for the many folks we serve in Marshall County and the surrounding areas,” said Lori Price, SJRMC/Plymouth President and SJPN Administrator. “With an ever-changing landscape in 21^st Century healthcare, the need for additional access to primary care inMarshallCounty is a priority.”

PFIM will expand to the site of the old Madison Center near the intersection of Michigan and Jefferson Streets in Plymouth (209 East Jefferson Street) and will be called “Plymouth Family & Internal Medicine Downtown.” PFIM will remain at its current location at the SJRMC/Plymouth Campus.

“With four Physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioners, PFIM is our Network’s largest primary care site in Plymouth,” said Tod Stillson, M.D. of PFIM. “We have enjoyed significant practice growth creating this need for expansion to two facilities that will continue to provide our community with the quality healthcare it has expected and relied on from us. It is wonderful to be part of this growth and expansion that is allowing greater access to outstanding healthcare in our community.”

PFIM Downtown will support four providers and will initially be staffed by Dr Stillson, Susie Cook, F.N.P., and Lisa Mae, R.N./Dietician. Joel Schumacher, M.D., Craig Miller, M.D., Joe Binfet, M.D., Jackie Eveland, F.N.P., and Jody Joseph, F.N.P. will remain at PFIM’s current location at the SJRMC/Plymouth Campus.
