07/29/11 Eli Lilly & Company’s Oncology on Canvas will be on display from Saturday, August 6 through Sunday, August 14 in the main lobby of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center’s Plymouth Campus. The free exhibit showcases the art from the 2010 Lilly Oncology on Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey art competition and exhibition.

Oncology on Canvas is a biennial art competition that invites people from the United States and Puerto Rico diagnosed with any type of cancer – as well as their families, friends, caregivers, and health care providers – to express, through art and narrative, the life-affirming changes that give their cancer journey meaning.

“To have this exhibit here at the Plymouth Campus means so much to all of us and our patients,” said Lori Price, SJRMC/Plymouth’s President. “This is a way for our cancer patients and their families to make that connection with those who have been down the same path. It also provides a lot of inspiration as some of our patients are at the beginning stages of a very trying journey.”

Oncology on Canvas is presented by Lilly Oncology in partnership with the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS), which advocates for quality cancer care for everyone and provides tools that empower people affected by cancer to advocate for themselves.
