05/16/11 Neighbors in the area of 429 Lake Avenue were awoken Friday morning to the sound of an explosion. Members of the Marshall County Multi Drug Unit (MAD) and Indiana State Police Emergency Response Team (ERS) used a flash bang to surprise the residents. Officers were there to serve a search warrant for methamphetamine.
Cameron Lawton, 19 and his mother Theresa L. Marzean, 43 were arrested from the house for allegedly possessing methamphetamine. Police also found an 11 year old child in the home.
During a search of the premises eight firearms were confiscated from the home including assault rifles, a modified shotgun, and handguns.
Charges will be filed with the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
