03/18/11 Seven members of the Plymouth Wrestling Club were in Indianapolis at Ben Davis High School last weekend for the folkstyle state finals and two members came home with medals.

Intermediate 105 pounder Andrew Himes finished the day in 5th place with two pins and one major decision.  130 pound Novice Colton Schuller did even better coming in 3rd with three pins.

Pee Wee Hunter Warren, Bantam James Dreibelbis as well as Novices Zane DeVault, Kevin Sibal and Nate LaFree also made the trip down state but did not place. Head coach Chad Dreibelbis says he’s very proud of all those who wrestled in Indianapolis and that just being there and competing shows their strong dedication and love of the sport.

Nearly 1,000 young wrestlers from across the state competed in the event.  The state finals wrap up the wrestling season for the Plymouth Wrestling Club.  The PWC is a great way for children interested in the sport of wrestling to hone their skills at an early age before they begin wrestling at the junior high level.
