CentennialPark_enteranceThis week members of the Plymouth Park Board opened quotes to replace the air conditioning unit at the Webster Center.

Park Superintendent Mike Hite sought five quotes and received four.  Jones Plumbing, Heating and AC offered a quote of $18,520 while Bowman’s Tin Shop had a quote of $11,368.  Peregrine Heating presented a quote of $13,583 and Large Electric’s was $9,322.

The quotes were taken under advisement for review and comparison.  Superintendent Hite will make a recommendation at the March meeting.  He did comment that all bids were within his budget guidelines.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi told members of the Plymouth Park Board that soil borings at the current tennis court location are very similar to the ones taken in the proposed site in the middle of the soccer field.  He said they have talked with the committee and are having the architect look at the possibility of building the new courts over the old site.  The mayor said they are discussing some kind of payment for the additional design work.
