Plymouth Building Commissioner Keith Hammonds recently presented his year end report to members of the Board of Public Works and Safety.
There were a total of 182 permits issued in 2014 compared to 241 in 2013. The estimated construction value of the 2014 permits was $14,291,123 compared to $14,293,809 in 2013.
Last year there were 16 single family homes permitted along with 32 renovations, 23 accessory structures, 20 additions and 3 foundations. Other permits issued included 19 decks, 20 fences, 8 swimming pools, 2 parking lots and 2 patio/porches. Hammonds also issued 7 demolition permits, 15 sign permits and 5 temporary sign permits.
The cost of the 182 permits issued last year to citizens or contractors was $18,888.
