03/05/14 On Monday, March 3rd at approximately 9:54 A.M. Plymouth Police Officer’s responded to the Marshall County Probation Department. Arriving at the location, Officer Derek Workman arrested 33 year old Ricky L. Dixon of South Bend. During Dixon’s meeting at the Probation Department, Marshall County Probation Officers Harner and Fallon conducted a search of Mr. Dixon’s person along with his vehicle. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and a controlled substance. Dixon was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $3,005 bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
