LIVONIA, MI– On two separate occasions, the Ancilla soccer team had defeated Schoolcraft College, but in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region XII Tournament, the Ocelots were victorious over the Chargers. Losing by a score of 2-0, Ancilla soccer had their season ended, just one game after winning the Michigan Community College Athletic Association conference championship.

In a physical match up, Schoolcraft scored in the 28th minute and maintained the 1-0 lead through the first half. Ten minutes into the second half, the Ocelots added another goal to their lead, while Ancilla was unable to answer with a goal of their own.

“This was a tough game for our team and we played well, unfortunately it didn’t end in our favor. We can return home proud of our MCCAA championship and work to go farther next season,” reflected Charger coach Adam Hall.

Ancilla finishes the season with a 10-8 record, recording the most wins in a season in school history.
