12/08/10 The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to a one vehicle accident on Friday, December 4th at 11:30 PM at US 30 and Fir Road. Upon arriving at the scene Patrolman Joe Giordano made contact with 23 year old Eric M. Cartwright of Osceola who was driving a Silver 2001 Cadillac STS. The driver stated that he was traveling southbound on Fir Road approaching the intersection of US 30 and was traveling to fast for the weather conditions and traveled through the intersection of US 30 and off the roadway into the ditch. None of the four passengers suffered any injuries from the accident. The driver of the vehicle, Eric M. Cartwright was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or more with a prior and was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a $1,000 bond.
