10/19/12 Monday night at the John Glenn Area Competition of the IASP Hoosier Spell Bowl, Plymouth High School scored a school record 84 points to finish 2nd to Penn High’s perfect score of 90.
Satewide in Division 1, Penn and Martinsville tied for first, followed by Plymouth. Kurt Corsbie and Ashley Stokes were near perfect spellers.

This is the third year in a row the Plymouth team has qualified for state; the first time the team will compete in Division 1. The state finals will be held at Purdue University on November 10.
