04/03/12 Plymouth High School Principal, Jim Condon sent an email letter to parents concerning a much loved bus driver that recently passed away. Those citizens driving near the intersection of Randolph and Berkley Street may have seen a school bus parked at the corner Monday afternoon as a memorial to Mr. Loren Nifong.
The letter follows: It is with heavy heart that I write you this email. Recently, Mr. Loren Nifong, long-time PHS bus driver passed away. Loren provided great service to the students of the Plymouth School Corporation for years. He was especially fond of the PHS band program and served as the group’s personal driver on many occasions. Lorens wife has requested that any donations be directed towards the PHS band program and should be sent to Patty Downs, PHS Treasurer. Checks should be addressed to Plymouth High School with a reference notation of “Loren Nifong”. Please remember the Nifong family in your thoughts and prayers.
