Detective Workman with the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop Thursday morning, June 1st at about 9:30 at Walnut and Monroe Streets for a vehicle with a suspect known to have several active warrants. 

Joseph Gerber II was driving, and Detective Workman recognized him and knew he had some active warrants.

Joseph Gerber who is listed as homeless was taken into custody and lodged in the Marshall County Jail with 3 active warrants through three counties for Deception and Fraud.  He is being held on a $3,000 cash bond.  

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
