Marshall County Clerk, Jenny Bennitt confirmed with GIANT fm WTCA on Thursday that Brian Bartlett has withdrawn his name from the November Municipal Election. 

Local businessman, Bartlett was one of two Republican candidates vying to fill one of the three open At-Large seats on the Plymouth City Council.

Brian Bartlett withdrew his candidacy on May 19th. 

Bennitt said the Republican Party has 30 days from the date the CAN-46 was filed with the Marshall County Clerk’s Office to fill the ballot vacancy. Once the appointment is made, the Republican Chairman has until noon, three days after filling the vacancy, to file the paperwork packet.
