On Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 just before 5 p.m. the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center advised Plymouth Police Officers of a fight in progress involving two males in front of the Kroger store at 2001 North Michigan Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, one of the involved males fled the scene. After a brief investigation by Officer Ayala with the Plymouth Police Department, Marshall County officers were able to locate 38-year-old Joshua A. Hansen of 2662 Michigan Road at his lot.

Hansen was transported to the hospital where he was evaluated by medical staff for jail clearance and then transported to Marshall County Jail.

Joshua Hansen was booked into the County Jail for Invasion of Privacy as a Level 6 Felony with a Prior Conviction and Domestic Battery as a Class A Misdemeanor.  He was held on a $1,500 cash bond until Thursday at about 7 P.M. when the bond was paid.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
