High school seniors and college students pursuing a career in education can apply for the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship.

State Representative Jack Jordan (R-Bremen) said in a recent release, “This renewable scholarship provides $7,500 per year for up to four years to students earning a teaching degree and who commit to teaching in Indiana for at least five years.”

He continued, “This scholarship, established through legislation that I support, helps our state’s high-achieving students as they pursue a rewarding career teaching in Hoosier classrooms. Recipients must be in the top 20 percent of their high school graduation class, earn a score in the top 20th percentile on the SAT or ACT, or have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.”
