In October 2018, the Culver Town Council passed an ordinance that changed the process of determining a political party’s candidate for town office from a convention that was held in August to the primary that is held in May.

As a result of this change, candidates can file for a seat now until the deadline at noon on Friday, February 3.

This year, the clerk-treasurer’s position and three council member seats are up for election and or re-election.  Bill Hamm, Sally Ricciardi, and Rich West are the Town Council seats open for this election. Bill Cleavenger and Bill Githens were re-elected in 2022.

If you are interested in running for clerk-treasurer or one of the three council seats, campaign and candidate information can be found on the Indiana Secretary of State’s website  https://www.in.gov/sos/elections/candidate-information/.

Locally, Marshall County Clerk, Jenny Bennitt, and her staff handle elections. If you have questions specific to filing and elections, please contact the County Clerk at 574.936.8922.
