The Marshall County Commissioners will meet Monday morning at 9:30 in their second-floor meeting room of the County Building.  The meeting is open to the public for comments and questions.

Paige Sansone from BakerTilly will discuss the county’s Financial Report with the Commissioners and Jason Peters, Highway Superintendent will review the work his staff has been doing and update the Commissioners on bridge projects.

Grant writer Shannon McLeod from Priority Projects will update the Commissioners on the OCRA Grant for the Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Project that was part of the Steller Communities Designation and at 10 a.m. the Commissioners are scheduled to consider an ordinance increasing the Sheriff Sale Service Fee from $180 to $300. 

Also on the agenda is Allie Shook from the Lifelong Learning Network.  They were successful in obtaining the full grant request of $1,750,000 from the South Bend-Elkhart Regional Development Authority through the READI program.  She will be there to discuss the local public matching funds the County Commissioners pledged for the project.  Les McFarland from the Sheriff’s Dept. will request approval to apply for a Domestic Cannabis Eradication and Suppression Grant and Plan Director Ty Adley will discuss a copier contract with the Commissioners.

County Attorney Jim Clevenger and Auditor Julie Fox will present their reports to the Commissioners, and they will approve the Tax Sale Report.  The meeting wraps up with public comments and consideration of Ordinance 2022-10 which will authorize the use of credit cards.
