A Marshall County Dump Truck was involved in an accident last Friday morning on U.S. 30 near Beech Road. The Indiana State Police investigated the accident.
At approximately 7:30 42-year-old Joseph Obrochta of Culver was driving an orange 2014 Freightliner attempting to cross onto Beech Road from the crossover after being filled with ground millings from the construction project on the westbound lanes of 30.
As Obrochta edged out to get a view of oncoming traffic his vehicle struck a white 2016 Ford pickup as it drove past, westbound. The Ford pickup was driven by 63-year-old Brian Parker of Warsaw.
At the time of the crash westbound lanes of US 30 are closed for construction. Eastbound lanes are divided allowing one lane to travel eastbound and one lane to travel westbound.
