On Saturday, October 1st at 8:15 in the morning, the Marshall County Coroner’s Office responded to a report of a traffic fatality located on an access road that runs parallel to U.S. 6 in the 7900 block, west of Bremen.
An investigation found a 2016 Mazda3 had been traveling westbound on the access road and for an unknown reason and left the roadway, traveled airborne over a drainage ditch striking the ditch bank on the opposite side. The vehicle then came to rest in the ditch. It is believed from the investigation this crash occurred shortly after midnight on October 1st and wasn’t discovered until 8 a.m. by neighbors in the area.
The sole occupant and deceased was identified as Matthew Adsit, age 28 of Indianapolis. Mr. Adsit died as a result of multiple Blunt Force Trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Marshall County Coroner’s Office along with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Bremen Police, Fire, and EMS.
