Operation Quiet Comfort, a 501 c(3) provides emotional and moral support through care packages and cards sent to America’s military men and women. Monthly packages include hygiene and grooming products, clothing, entertainment, and food.
During the holiday season Operation Quiet Comfort will be sending over 2,000 Christmas Stockings filled with a variety of goodies including a pair of socks, a puzzle book and pen, hand and toe warmers, a beef stick, and a granola bar along with assorted holiday goodies and specially written cards of encouragement.
OQC is collecting money to purchase items to fill the stockings. For a $10 donation, you will fill one stocking. Donations can be made via PayPal (admin@operationquietcomfort.com) or by check mailed to Operation Quiet Comfort at 17671 13th Road in Plymouth, IN 46563. They ask that you note “Holiday” on the check. Checks can also be dropped off at WTCA and ASK for Flowers in downtown Plymouth. The deadline for the holiday stockings is October 31st.
There are a few items that people can donate to the holiday project this year. Those include packets of hot chocolate, lip balm, and men’s white or black crew socks. Operation Quiet Comfort is always accepting any size zip-lock baggies and click pens. Christmas cards are also included with each stocking and additional ones in each box. If you would like to write a cheery message of encouragement on a dozen Christmas cards, they would gladly be accepted too. These items can also be dropped off at WTCA or ASK For Flowers.

Volunteers are welcome to join the packing day on Saturday, October 29th beginning at 10 A.M. Lunch will be served. Packing happens at the Houin’s home at 17671 13th Road in Plymouth.
