County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters updated the Commissioners on this season’s road projects during their meeting Monday.
The 2022 Community Crossing paving projects and additional paving projects by Milestone are complete with the mills, fills of a base, and final surface paving. Peters said the shoulders on these road projects still need to be completed and the painting of lines is yet to be finished.
The County Highway employees have completed:
7th Road from King to Linden,
7B from Lilac to the dead end,
Pine Road from 5th to 6th,
6B from the County Line to Plymouth LaPorte Trail, Plymouth/LaPorte Trail from U.S. 30 to the County Line,
Union Road from U.S. 30 to 9C
14th Road from State Road 17 to Olive Trail
Tomahawk Trail off 12th Road
Mill Pond Trail
18th Road from Queen to Pear
County Line Road from State Road 17 to the county line
17B from State Road 331 to Fir
Dewberry Road from 17B to 18 B
18B from Dewberry to Fir
12th Road from King to Hawthorn
2B from State Road 331 to the County Line
Beech Road from 3B to U.S. 6
Elm Road from the Bremen Town limits to 3B
12th Road from the Bourbon Town limits to U.S. 30
12B Road from the Bourbon Town limits to U.S. 30
Pine Road from State Road 10 to 19th Road and
Apple Road from 12th to Lincolnway.
The County Highway Department also added material and had Rejuvtec spray the road surface with a material that extends the life of asphalt up to 30%-40% by restoring the components of asphalt lost over time and by the exposure to elements. The list of roads completed with this process included:
12B off Queen
Cook Lake Trail off Peach Road
Nutmeg Road between 3rd Road and 4th
Apple Road from State Road 10 to 17th Road
Cedar Road from 15th Road to 15B
11th Road from King Rod to Jute
and Mulberry from State Road 10 to the dead end.
The County Highway Department also treated
Miami Road from Plymouth Goshen to State Road 106
Kenilworth Road from U.S. 6 to 3rd Road
The Collins subdivision along with the Oak Hill subdivision and Forest Hills subdivision.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said they still plan to pave Queen Road from 13th Road to State Road 17 and 12th Road from State Road 17 to Pear Road along with 18B from State Road 331 to the railroad tracks. Additional projects yet to be completed this season include Beach Road from Plymouth Goshen Trail to the county line and Nutmeg from State Road 10 north to 14B and Muckshaw.
