WALKERTON —  On a cold, rainy, and soggy night the John Glenn Boys Soccer team lost a hard-fought match to LaPorte 5-4.
In the first half, Glenn played more defensively and struggled to get going offensively. In the second half, Glenn came out with more aggression attacking every ball and was able to find teammates with accurate passes into space which opened up the offense.
Glenn battled back from a 1-4 deficit to equal the match at 4-4 with Braylon Smith scoring the equalizer.
Unfortunately, the Slicers were able to score in the final minutes to take the victory.
Eli Peterson made 11 saves in goal. Scoring for Glenn were Ryan Shoue 3 goals, Braylon Smith, Bentley Whitmer and Jonny Kambol had two assists.
