About 3:30 Thursday afternoon June 30th the Plymouth Police Department responded to a business alarm at 510 West Adams Street suite 150, the Saint Joseph Health Center.
The suspect, 43-year-old Ashley Bays of Thayer Street in Plymouth was arrested for Criminal Trespass for entering the suite. The emergency alarm was activated by a Saint Joseph employee when Bays entered the business. Bays was incarcerated in the Marshall County Jail for Criminal Trespass and held on a $500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
