Bard A. Speheger, age 69 of Plymouth, IN passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 in his home.

Bard was born to John L. and Jean E. (Pinney) Speheger on February 11, 1953 in Plymouth, IN. He was a lifelong resident and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1972, enlisting in the U.S. Army thereafter.

He loved to make people laugh and was always quick with a joke or a witty retort. Bard was an avid reader and huge history buff, particularly fond of the early 20th century. He loved the Indy 500 and had been going to the Speedway nearly every year for over five decades. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, playing cards with his friends and family and watching/attending Notre Dame football games.

Bard is survived by his daughter, Sarah Popi; his son, Aaron Speheger; his grandchildren: Anthony and Melina Popi; his brother, Benjamin (Laura) Speheger of Indianapolis, IN; his nephew, Matthew (Brooke) Speheger; and his niece, Jamie Speheger.

Bard is preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean Speheger.

Cremation has been chosen and no services have been planned at this time.
