Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department arrested a Plymouth woman Friday night, June 10^th on an outstanding warrant. 

38-year-old Ashley Vargas of 900 West Harrison Street was arrested at her residence on an outstanding Kosciusko County warrant.

Plymouth Police Officer Shanna Gilmer conducted a traffic stop Saturday night just after 7 at U.S. 30 and Oak Drive on 54-year-old Cecil Smith of Union Road in Walkerton.   He was found to be operating a vehicle on a suspended license with a prior conviction and possession of marijuana.

Smith was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
