U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.), a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, released the following statement on Friday’s Consumer Price Index report that confirmed inflation has increased to 8.6 percent – a new 40-year high.
“While President Biden doubles down on his radical agenda, skyrocketing prices are burning Hoosiers this summer. As inflation rises to yet another 40-year high, everyone is getting crushed – from the gas pump to the grocery store. After Democrats spent months laughing off real inflation fears, this is shaping up to be a painful summer for families, farmers, and workers across Indiana and beyond.”
Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana, serving as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Ranking Member of the House Ethics Committee.
