Jerry Huss, head of Marshall County Weights and Measures appeared before the County Commissioners this week with his quarterly report.

In the first quarter of 2022, Huss has inspected and tested 278 scales in the county.  He has checked on 36 scales in stores and pharmacies, 3 gas stations, and 3 large truck scales.

The big news from Weights and Measures is that the annual convention and training for the Indiana Association of Inspectors of Weights and Measures will be held at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth.   The convention will be from November 1st through the 4th.

Mr. Huss wanted to acknowledge the support of all three of the County Commissioners, Marshall County Visitors Bureau, County Auditor, and Bowen Printing.  He said, “The event will bring in inspectors, guests, and speakers from every corner of the state to our county for the first time in the association’s 109-year history.
