Heavy snow has made for slick and hazardous road conditions.  With additional snow forecast overnight tonight, the Marshall County Commissioners have implemented an “Advisory” level travel advisory for the county.

Marshall County remains under a “Winter Weather Advisory” until 1 p.m. today.  Total snow accumulations of between 3 to 6 inches are forecast with the additional snow forecast for overnight tonight.  Additional snow fall will impact the morning commute on Monday.

An “Advisory” level travel advisory is the lowest level of local travel advisory and means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of hazardous situations, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.

Please drive for the conditions S-L-O-W down, increase following distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.  Avoid using cruise control and avoid rapid breaking.  Allow yourself extra time to reach your destination

The Marshall County Highway Department is currently out treating main roads.
