On Friday, December 24 at approximately 2:50 in the afternoon Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department responded to the report of a theft that occurred at Walmart involving two females.
45-year-old Tracy Napierkowski of South Bend fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers, and she was later located in the Applebee’s restroom. Ms. Napierkowski was arrested for theft and was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail.
The other female involved in the incident was released from the scene.
As a side note:
Officer Finn arrested Napierkowski on December 14th for a warrant. During the warrant service, she was found to be in Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia. Napierkowski was transported to the Marshall County Jail for her warrant and new charges. While at the jail, she was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics and was charged additionally with Drug Trafficking and Possession of Synthetic Drug.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
