Richard L. Schweisberger Jr., age 67 passed away on November 25, 2021 in Golden Living Center of Elkhart, IN.
Richard was born the son of Richard and Ruth (Myers) Schweisberger, Sr. on July 9, 1954 in Bremen, IN. He was a lifelong resident of the Plymouth and Elkhart area and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1972. Richard worked as a dispatcher and jailer for Marshall County as well as a volunteer fire fighter. He owned and operated Twin Lakes Sports and Bait Shop, along with working at Plumrose USA, Inc. in Elkhart, IN and Indiana Door and Chair in Elkhart, IN. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially Mark Martin, the Cubs, fishing, bowling, and just sports in general.
Richard is survived by his daughters: Tracy (Conner) Klosowski of Warsaw, IN; Kelly (Cody) Coblentz of Lake Park, GA; his grandchildren: Avery Coblentz; Cameron Coblentz; and his sister, Rebecca (Roger) Shelton of Elkhart, IN.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Family asks that memorial contributions be made to Plymouth Fireman’s Memorial Fund (marshallcountygives.org), Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K9 Fund, and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Children’s Camp (1400 Pioneer Dr., Plymouth, IN 46563).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 S. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563) with a Memorial Service following at 12:00 p.m.
