Todd Zeltwanger of Cultivate Food Rescue stopped by the Plymouth Rotary Club meeting on November 22 to update the club on his organization’s activities. Cultivate Food Rescue connects unserved or unprepared food with organizations that can use it. Last year, Cultivate served a total of 25,000 meals and rescued 186,000 pounds of food. Several Marshall County schools and food banks are recipients of Cultivate’s rescued food, including children in food insecure households who take home microwavable meals for the weekend. Janis Jeffirs Holiday, director of the Marshall County Center on Aging, also shared at the meeting, explaining how Cultivate provides meals for seniors with limited incomes or health issues. Plymouth Rotary is proud to support the work of Cultivate.
