The Indiana Department of Transportation is seeking snowplow drivers in the Plymouth area for the upcoming winter season. The job openings were posted on the State’s Work for Indiana website this past Friday.
INDOT is offering a $250 sign-on and $500 retention bonuses for eligible applicants. The hourly pay rate is $20.00 with positions open throughout the Plymouth Sub District. Candidates must be open to working nights, weekends, and on-call.
Winter seasonal workers perform snow and ice removal and related maintenance duties by operation of snow plow and other winter operations duties as required. Traffic maintenance duties such as repairing and installing traffic signs and pavement markings are also required job duties for this position.
This is a seasonal position and does not offer benefits. Winter seasonal positions are not eligible for holiday pay, leave pay or other benefits from the State of Indiana, including unemployment.
