Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department arrests a Plymouth man for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and OWI.

On Friday, October 1st about 3:30 in the afternoon Officer Krynock was called to the parking lot of Hacienda on Miller Drive for a vehicle that struck another vehicle and fled the scene.

During the investigation, the officer located 30-year-old Andrew Lee Hayes at his residence of 5th Road.  Hayes was offered a certified chemical test and was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and for Operating While Intoxicated. 

Hayes was held on a $1,500 cash bond until Saturday, October 2nd when bond was paid at 8:45 in the morning and he was released with an initial hearing in Marshall Superior Court II on November 9th.   

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
